Property of Basic Auramine O:
Yellow even powder.It is soluble in cold water and easily soluble in hot water. It is bright yellow when soluble in ethanol.its aqueous solution will decompose into tetra methyl benzophenone when the temperature exceeds 70 ℃. Its aqueous solution will be colorless when added with concentrated sulfuric acid and pale yellow after dilution.

Its lake is used for making wallpaper, color paper, ink and paint.
